Check keyword ranking google -automatically!

This is going to be a lesson in how to check a keyword’s potential to rank on page 1 of Google (or whichever search engine you are using). You can check keyword ranking Google automatically, which really helps in choosing those perfect keywords for your posts. If your keyword has a higher chance of ranking on page 1 of Google, then you will boost your success!

Have your new post idea? Now a need a title for your post!

I’ve explained how to get article ideas, and let’s say you’ve chosen to do an article on the best healthy juicing drink recipes. and we want to have a keyword rich title to our article, so let’s choose our article title. Let me show you how!

We are going to use the Jaaxy tool (and I’ve got you a free membership, so you can try the tool out, I’ll give you the link at the end) to search our perfect SEO title. So let’s begin.

You’ll see below the screen capture of the Jaaxy search.  Here is a description of each column of that search result so you know what each abbreviation stands for to understand the results:

  • Keyword – List of suggestions created by the Jaaxy system
  • Avg – The average number of times people search for those keywords in a month
  • Traffic – The estimated number of visits you can expect when you rank on page 1 in the search engines for those keywords
  • QSR – Quoted Search Results – the number of competing websites ranked in Google for this exact keyword – This is basically your competition, and you want a QSR under 100 for a beginning site and under 300 for an established site.
  • KQI – Keyword Quality Indicator – Overall assessment of keyword – Great, Normal, or Poor
  • SEO – Search Engine Optimization score based on traffic predictions and competition.  100 is the top score. Here is where you check keyword ranking Google!

We enter our search in the keyword search line “healthy juicing recipes” and here’s what pops up:

OK, so let’s see the top row. Our actual search term was “healthy juicing recipes,” and it rendered awesome results. Look at that, it’s got an average of 263 people who search this phrase monthly with the potential of 45 visitors (people who go to your website) a day from this keyword if you rank on page 1. That’s great! The QSR (competition) score is well under the goal of 100 at 61 (for an established website, you want the QSR to be under 300, but for a new site, keep the QSR well under 100). The next thing you’ll see is the SEO is close to the top rank of 100 at 93! Perfect keyword!  Healthy Juicing Recipes!

Let’s look at some of the other keywords suggested above (and with Jaaxy, you can save them by clicking on them and adding them to your list which you can categorize). You can then use these other keywords for future articles. Down on the list of keyword suggestions above, Jaaxy starts giving you suggestions, such as the very specific keywords: “healthy juicing recipes diabetics” which then opens up a whole range of helpful articles you could produce around diabetes and diet, depending on your niche.

Look at the results when I type in “best juicing recipes diabetes.” The top two keywords have zero competition. So as you can see there are a lot of really great choices.

In Jaaxy, you can click on any of these for again, a new list of suggestions!

What qualifies as a “bad” keyword?

I’ve shown you the qualifications for a perfect keyword.  Let me show you an examples of a keyword that is not a good choice:

So let’s review why “detoxing juicing” is a bad keyword.  First of all it’s hard to make a sentence or a title out of the phrase, and it’s cumbersome to say, that’s for starters.  Next it is expected to get 2 visitors a day if you rank on page 1?  That’s not too rewarding.  Then, to top it off, you have competition well over the 100 maximum you are looking for.  This keyword scores 123, so now you have to fight twice as hard for no reward.

Therefore, “detoxing juicing” is a bad keyword choice.

Keywords will make or break your heart

Imagine pouring over your research, compiling photos, putting together all that beautiful content and posting it online, only to have nobody find it when they search because you don’t have the right keywords.  It’s sad to see, but I see it all the time.

So I believe you are now seeing the power and benefit of writing content that you now can feel confident will rank with Google if you follow the proven steps to get there.  Keywords is the first step in that process.  You have to have the perfect keywords for the ultimate results!

  1. This is an excellent article on Jaaxy – very clear and easy to follow.  I am using Jaaxy but I didn’t know what all the numbers meant so although I had the key points about the average traffic the QSR under 100, I wasn’t sure about what they meant and exactly what I should be looking for.  Now I do so I can choose better keywords.  I have even book marked it.  This article has been very useful.  Thank you.

Getting started at WA now. I am going to start my first page of content soon.Thank you for your help.

  4. What a helpful article about how to do keyword research correctly. I like the way you explain the topic. You made it very easy to follow and understand. There are many other articles that make this process way harder than it really it. I appreciate you putting this article together to help others. This is actually the exact strategy I use to do my keyword research before writing any article. You are so right that keywords will either make or break your business. You can have the best content in the world, but if you don’t know who you are targeting though doing keyword research, then it’s a waste of time. Thanks for the insight and keep up with the awesome work.

  5. Thank you for sharing the insider view of the Jaaxy tool, it is a great tool, and I believe will help many people here. I myself use Jaaxy to research keywords when I write content for my website. 10. Hi Babs,

Great article! I use Jaaxy now but wasn’t sure how it all worked properly. You explain it all so well. Thank you.

It makes so much more sense now and I can see what all the symbols and numbers mean. It is an even greater tool than what I thought. Really well done.

  11. Hey Babs, not sure how I found this article, but now I am. It’s key words. I always assumed that website writing had to use rich content with the right google words and/or phrases, but I was more so under the impression that it was Google’s top secret algorithms. So many other articles about this are complicated to understand. I really like how your product simplifies the process. One question, what determines if your website is “established” enough to use a word or phrase with a QSR near 300? Thanks!!

    1. In my opinion, stick to the QSR’s under 100. You will know when your website is generating thousands of visitors a day to be able to raise the bar, but the low hanging fruit is your best place for the least competition and success with your keywords.

  12. Jaaxy is a tool I had never heard of before and boy is it a powerful tool to have in your online marketing arsenal! Very well put together with great examples.

  13. Using Jaaxy can make a difference in having a good website and a great website. Finding keywords that make sense and can be used in a title of your blog post is easy. Finding ones that others are searching for is the hard part.

  14. Excellent information on keyword research. I love using Jaaxy. I have always thought it odd that some posts do better than others, when those that are ranked lower look better than the 1# result. But the reality is that a keyword really can make all the difference! I highly recommend Jaaxy or any similar keyword research tool.
