This is such a cool idea, I already bookmarked your page and I will be trying this on my own website. There are so many different free ways to boost your business, we can’t possibly know them all. That’s why it is great when we can learn about new options, we never even knew existed. Very informative and I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for the great information.
Lots of fun and free tools, for sure. I did pay the $27 for the lifetime membership to Designrr which is where I create my ebooks, but this cool cover maker software, they don’t charge for, which is amazing. Anyway, enjoy, and thanks for stopping by! ~ Babs
Thank you for saving my time to do research about creating the cover for my upcoming eBook. I have been preparing content for an eBook and most recently I thought of doing some research about creating a cover but I haven’t got the time to do it yet.
Now that I can just follow this comprehensive tutorial and with the help of ‘diybookcovers’, it seems like a very easy task. Thank you for the recommendation and also the handy tutorial. Keep up the good work!
Well, thank you, Jayden, and I’m glad I was able to help you out! Yay! ~ Babs
Wow! This is so cool! I have written two ebooks before, the first was a flop, and the second never made it to the best sellers lists. I believe the cover will sell the book if selected correctly. I had an old program years ago that made Ebook covers but doesn’t work anymore. This program, the eBook cover creator is exactly what I have been looking for. I am curious though, how many formats can you save the ebook cover that you have created?
You can use jpg or png to save it, depending on if you want a transparent background or a block background.
Ah, the ebook cover creator. I remember creating my very first ebook to offer as a lead magnet to my readers. And I’m telling you from experience, it was a serious struggle to get a beautiful cover up since I’m horrible at design.
I had to purchase an ebook cover creator to simplify the process, but unfortunately, the software I bought was a ripoff. It couldn’t produce the design I wanted for my book cover. In the end, I forced myself to learn Photoshop and watched basic tutorials like how to edit layers, then I downloaded a script for the 3D ebook design I wanted.
Judging from how you used Designrr, it seemed like you were having fun doing it. Makes me wanna’ try it out and create another ebook for my online business. Hope I don’t get ripped off this time!
It’s literally so easy! Amazing! You can create them with drag and drop or you can simply import the url from your own post and edit from there. You can import multiple urls. The sky is the limit. $27 lifetime access, no monthly fee like they normally charge on their website. Take it! You won’t be sorry! ~ Babs
There are so many amazing programs to create and I use Cava a lot but I hadn’t heard of the 3d book cover and I am thrilled to read this post and I am going to go try and create my very 1st ebook cover and then go to designrr to complete my ebook
Babs. thank you-you are incredibly helpful and I love all you give on this website
You rock!!!
Wow, vicki, well I appreciate you taking your time to leave me such a nice comment! I’m glad I can help! ~ Babs
This is great information and very timely, as I am about to create another e-book about home decor!
You surprised me a bit, I have to confess, because I have used Designrr.io to create e-books, but never realized you could create a cover with it! I’ve always gone to my old standby, Canva! Guess it’s been a while since I used the Designrr platform!
Will be revisiting soon to check it out. Appreciate the tip and tutorial and will keep it bookmarked to return to for guidance. Loved the article – well done!
The cover is made by a program called DIY Book Design, not Designrr. Designrr is the ebook creation software. They are two different things. ~ Babs
Great topic and great advice! This is a really useful site and that it creates 3D covers is outstanding. Your info on email capturing is invaluable. I agree that such a product for free is pretty unbelievable. Choosing the layout, uploading a graphic, this looks like a pretty seamless process. Your book cover looks awesome! I’ve bookmarked your post for future reference, well done!
Oh, thank you so much, and I’m so glad you found it helpful! ~ Babs
I have published a couple of books on Amazon but my sales figures aren’t great if I’m honest. I think it is all down to the fact that the cover was created with the free Amazon book cover creator and there are very little royalty free images to choose from so I think if I had found this free book cover creator sooner I would have made a lot more sales.
at the end of the day, a great book cover will sell better than a poorly made one, wouldn’t it?
do you know if there is a way of changing my ebook cover on Amazon if I used this free creator to make a better one than i already have?
i also have an ebook on my website that I give away when people sign up to my email list that i need to change and this is just the thing that i have been looking for, so thanks 🙂
You know, I’m not sure. You may have to withdraw the one with the old cover, re-do the cover and then re-submit. I don’t know how that affects what you’re selling, if it hurts you somehow. Otherwise, I would check with them and see how you can upgrade your display image. There must be a way to do it. ~ Babs
Gee, Babs, this is really cool.
I’ve been cooking for decades and have modified many recipes to my own liking. I’ve always thought about writing a cookbook or having my recipes on a restaurant menu. Maybe I can do this.
Great technical skills, by the way. Screenshots, videos. Color, dazzle, clear descriptions. Very professional.
What a pro you are. You’ve made it easy to know that this is available and that I can do this when I’m ready. I have so many recipes in file.docs on my computer. This could make publishing easier.
You are a great coach. An inpiration.
Thank you.
Mike
Wow, Mike, you are so kind, I really appreciate it so much! Thanks!
Thanks for introducing with ebook cover creator. I got to know the importance of ebook capture from your article. The steps look very easy to set up. I learned a new thing today from your article. Thank you for the article. I enjoyed reading it. It’s helpful indeed. Well done and keep up the good work.
Oh, I definitely will, Fahim! It’s what I do! I’m glad you have enjoyed the articles! ~ Babs
Hi, Babs and thanks for this great post. I’m almost to the point where I will be considering producing an E-book for my site and I have been looking around the internet to see what’s available.
I have been using Canva for a couple of smaller projects on my site and I really like it but, didn’t know I could do covers as well. It looks like the two work together well.
Going to have to look into this further. Thanks for putting this out there. I think it’s going to be a big help when the time comes for me to take the E-book jump.
Thanks again, Babs,
Wayne
Absolutely wonderful that you’re thinking of this. Creating ebooks is so easy with the Designrr program, it’s as simple as using the url from one of your articles, and it copies everything over, including pictures and links. It’s pretty crazy how easy it is to use. I think you’ll like it. It’s fun to use and helpful for your business!
A really amazing post I must say. I have wanted to great a 3D cover cover for some time now but I ahvemt had a proper teacher who would put me through. This post gives a very nice and simple comprehensive explanation on how I could go about it. You just don’t see such posts very often. Thanks for sharing.
I have always liked step by step instructions, so that is why I try very hard to put instructions into simple language so people can follow it easily. I’m glad I was successful with this post! Thanks, Dane! ~ Babs
Thank you very much. That is so cool that you can make your own book covers for free. I will definitely bookmark this page for when I need to do a cover for my ebook. I thought it was funny when you wrote how to add cool text to a photo. Thanks for all of your great information about making your own ebooks. Your idea of giving out a free ebook in exchange for someone joining your email list is very smart. Thanks!
Hello Edward! I’m so glad that you had a chance to peruse the website! That’s awesome, Edward! Giving away free information is a fantastic way to encourage someone to provide their email. Then you can continue to give them great information! ~ Babs
