How is the Wealthy Affiliate a scam? The answer will surprise you!

How is the Wealthy Affiliate a scam? How is the Wealthy Affiliate a scam? How is it that thousands of people have enrolled in this program, and most of them have upgraded to a Premium Membership to take advantage of the advanced training and unlimited keyword searches on Jaaxy. How is it that this community of affiliate marketers (seasoned professionals and newbies) continue to stay active members on this platform.

You know the answer, right? It’s because Wealthy Affiliate is the farthest thing from a scam that you will find.  It is the exact opposite and I can prove it to you here in this article.

How can I prove if Wealthy Affiliate is a scam or not?

First, the price. It’s zero. Nada. None. Nothin’ whatsoever, no money. That’s the first clue. When a company offers you a FREE MEMBERSHIP, and it’s NOT A TRIAL free membership, but a free membership you can keep and work from and keep your two free websites, for as long as you want, that is a big indication that they are offering something of value and hoping to entice you to upgrade, but not requiring that you do.How is the Wealthy Affiliate a scam?

You, see, there can only be a scam if there is a disingenuous attempt to get money from a consumer and not provide the stated value in return. In this case, Wealthy Affiliate provides the value first and never ask you for any money. They offer the Premium Membership, and it is up to you to decide if you want to upgrade for the added benefits the Premium Membership provides.

You definitely get everything they claim in their marketing with your FREE membership.  See below.

Here is the comparison, and you can see all that you get for absolutely no money. The only information you need to give is your name, your email address, a username of your choice, and a password of your choosing. That’s it. No credit card info whatsoever.

The community that is Wealthy Affiliate

When you enter the Wealthy Affiliate platform, you will immediately be greeted by the owners and other members, many of whom have been on the platform since it’s inception 13 years ago.

Thirteen years is a long time for an online platform to be this successful, which is another reason it’s obviously not a scam. Why would someone pay for a Premium membership if the platform didn’t deliver. Why, honestly, would someone even upgrade to a Premium membership if they didn’t see the value.

The owners are extremely involved in the community as well. The support throughout the community is amazing. Here’s a screen capture of the live chat area.

  1. Your headline drew me in. How is wealthy affiliate a scam. But then you did a total turn around on explaining how it is not a scam. Way to cred. yourself like that. I love WA and love the community as well. There are so many things happening there everyday, it sometimes gets hard to keep up. But I enjoy it immensely.

Glad that the membership right now is free. Everything is happening online.

  2. Hi Babs,
You are so right in saying Wealthy Affiliate is the furthest thing from a scam.

The fact they give you a free trial is brilliant and the fact it is ongoing. Some things do give you a free trial. But you have to put your credit card information in, and after that initial week, (if you forget) you will be billed. At WA you decide when you want to share that personal information and pay!

Good info here on Wealthy Affiliate and I think there is nothing like it online!

    Cheers, Sharon

  4. Wow….love the free 100% free membership offer at Wealth Affiliate.  I have to say I’ve never seen this anywhere else.   Usually, like you say, at other companies its a trial offer…or you need to give credit card info (really?).  Totally free to test drive a platform as robust as this is just unheard of.

You obviously have a passion for helping others get started online so I appreciate your honest and candid review of this program.  Is this a good fit for someone who may not be internet savvy?  Technology can get a little overwhelming for some…especially creative and artistic folks.

Thank you for sharing such valuable information!

  5. Free-to-join was what persuaded me to give it a chance. I’m actually very careful online and there are so many scams around. But I wanted to find a way to make a passive income because I want to travel and not get stuck to a 9-5 job.

I love it! I love the community and I love working on my site! Best decision ever!

  6. That’s right because we don’t know for how long free membership will be available, but I would love to be positive. LOL. It’s also worth mentioning here that some countries have already been excluded from free membership, meaning they would have to pay first before they test the platform firsthand, and it seems the list has grown as compared to prior years.

Wealthy Affiliate is a risk free platform where you don’t provide any payment information before trying it out. Brief but great post. Thanks for sharing.

By the way, do free members have personal affiliate blogs?

  7. Well Babs, I couldn’t leave your site without looking at one of your other blogs. I think you’ve convinced me. I’ll definitely be trying wealthy affiliate. It’s so difficult to find honesty in the internet marketing scene and these guys sound like they are, honest that is. I like all the websites you get when you upgrade. I’m not to sure what I’ll do with 50 websites but I’m sure I’ll have fun trying. Thanks Jim

  8. It is always a good start when there is a free option as it gives people the opportunity to check it out and see if it is something that they are interested in.  They have been around a long time. These are good indications that it is not a scam. Now that they have the added feature of sitecomments 2.0 you can even earn from Wealthy Affiliate.

  9. Wealthy Affiliate is definitely not a scam. So, when I saw the headline I was so curious to know what informed your comment. Nice work done on this article. I have been on this platform for just 5 days and I’m certain that it’s the best decision I’ll ever make. Join the winning team, join wealthy affiliate.

    1. Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you, lol!  No, it was just a headline to get attention to the article about how Wealthy Affiliate is NOT a scam, as you well know from being on the platform.  Thanks for stopping in with your testimonial.  I appreciate it as do my readers!  – Babs

  10. Some people said that wealthy affiliates is too good to be true.,, but guess what I tell them.,  Wether you believe it or not wealthy affiliates is just too good but it is not a scam and can never be a scam. Wealthy affiliates has withstood the test of time for so many years ago and they are still doing very good. I’m so comfortable with this amazing community.

    1. I love that, it’s just “too good” lol!  It’s so true.  It does seem hard to believe for all you get, but just the fact that they offer the free Starter program is enough to show it is legitimate!  – Babs

  11. Thanks for this post. Wealthy Affiliates is definitely a top-notch community. I am so glad to join, though am still few days old in WA (smile). The fact that they also give 100% free membership is something to be happy about and the upgrade fee is very affordable and cheap with a lot of values even worth more than the money. What actually motivated me to join is the results in which am seeing my friends at WA are getting. They have definitely become richer in their finances, and they even make it their Full time job. It’s definitely got my interest! Great work on this page.

  12. I have never been so thankful for any marketing venture than I have had for Wealthy Affiliate. The immense community support is just amazing, and you are sure that you are always on the right track.  The fact that you will learn all the basics of starting a website and being able to keep them for free indicates that this business has really good value over any others.

    1. I have to say the community is an integral part of Wealthy Affiliate.  They are right there whenever I have a question, as well as the platform Support area.  They get right back to you, it’s pretty cool.  – Babs

  13. Thanks for this review. I had stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate and thought it was too good to be true…a “free” membership. I Googled reviews and saw plenty of positive press, but I was still skeptical.

You review summed it up best for me…you just asked why and it made sense. I appreciate the help and will be heading over to Wealthy Affiliate now.

    Thanks!

    1. Once you sign up, be sure to come to my wall (BabsieRocks) and say hello, and please let me know how I can help you!   – Babs

  14. If there was anything so wrong, it is your title haha! I ahve only been a member at Wealthy Affiliates for over a month. I upgraded on the same day and within an hour of taking the free course. I knew straight away that this was the online business I had been looking for, for more than 10 years of searching and losing money everywhere else. Every other post of yours had my approval until this titled post…a good thing it was only to surprise – good one! Otherwise, I would have totally destroyed it (that’s how precious Wealthy Affiliates is to me). Otherwise, have a wonderful day Babs 🙂 and thank you again for a great review.

    1. Yes, they are definitely not a scam!  Just used that to get attention, ha ha!  It worked!  They are great, and you’re welcome Haisaane!  – Babs

  15. I was actually hoping to read a negative review on Wealthy Affiliate because with all the good things I’ve been reading about this platform, I would like to read one that says the complete opposite so I will have a reason not to join. Some excuses, huh!

Anyway, I first stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate several months ago while searching for positive and negative reviews on another online program I was planning to join. And like WA, they also have a starter membership, which I tried for a couple of months. I completed the free lessons and at the end of that, I was still not able to build my own website. I had to take up a free course on another platform just to do that.

So when I learned that WA also has a free membership, and no credit card, I decided to try this one, and wow I am so happy I did because I got my site up the first day!  It is training me through the whole process of building the business.  Not like any of the other programs I have tried.

    1. I’m right with you, Alice.  I did the same thing, and I was honestly thinking I was just going to give up because there just weren’t any legitimate programs out there.  Wealthy Affiliate changed all that.  I love it.  Finally!!!  – Babs
