How to Auto Post on Social Media! How it works!

Please share this post!

Every single time you post on your website, you need to share that content on your social media! If you have been in any kind of business in the past, you know that marketing is the key to the success of your business.

Your online business is no different. If you are running an online business, perhaps a blog with affiliate links, you need to market your business to bring in traffic!

What is traffic? Traffic is the people coming to your site! These people are interested in whatever you’re writing about. When you are marketing online, the more traffic (the more people), the more money you’ll make.

How to auto post on social media

I don’t know if you’re new or seasoned, but I am here to tell you that you will find out (or you are already well aware) that online businesses can be extremely time-consuming.

Now, I absolutely love working online in my business. I get excited when I know I have scheduled uninterrupted time to write my content and post my posts. The time-intensive nature of this business is why you need to choose a niche that you love, because of the time you will spend immersed in it.

That being said, you are not going to have time to sit and manually post all of your content to social media. If you do this business right, you are going to be creating a lot of content on your website. Can you imagine having to then go to Facebook and Pinterest and Twitter and LinkedIn and any other platform to then share each post?

No, no and no! That is not what you are going to want to be spending your time doing, but these activities must be done! It is critical you post all your content on all your social media sites.  So how do we handle this task?

Automation! That’s the key. Keep it simple.

I’m going to go through some of the ways that I have automated the social media sharing of my posts in the hopes that it will help you to better utilize your time as well.  Here goes!

Tailwind for Pinterest

I discovered the program Tailwind through a fellow marketer in my Wealthy Affiliate University program. She introduced me to the Tailwind program. Wow, I was blown away. I was able to get a free trial through her, so I took advantage of that.

I was so impressed with the program that once my trial was up, I went ahead and signed up. Tailwind has truly cut my Pinterest marketing time down immensely, and it’s also given me a way to engage with other members of Pinterest, share their posts, and have them share mine as well!

I wrote an article about the Tailwind plan, and you can give it a try from there as well, if you’d like.

Facebook Pages and Groups

I have a Facebook page for my business, and I belong to a myriad of groups as well. I like to post my content on all the groups I belong to, so can you imagine how long that would take if I were to do it by hand individually? It would become overwhelming, and it would take away from my main function of writing content.

Therefore, through my Wealthy Affiliate University training, I learned that my best option was to install the Sociable plugin. This is a free plugin available for WordPress site users.

A few clicks and you’re there

Once you install the plugin, you’ll see the icons right under your post title like this:

All you have to do is go to your post, then click on whatever platform icon you want to share your post to, and it will bring you to that platform. Make sure you are logged into your social media account when you do this so it goes to your account and pages.

Let’s say you want to share to Facebook. I have my own page for Coaching for Internet Marketers, so for this illustration, I will post to that page. I click on the Facebook icon and this pops up:

I click here to drop down my choices of where to post it:

In this example, I chose a Page You Manage (Coaching for Internet Marketers page):

Then, you type what you want to say and then add your hashtags (#) and post! It’s that simple.

How it looks

As you can see here on my Facebook page, this is what the post will look like:

Affiliate Marketing Training

You’ve heard me mention my Wealthy Affiliate training program, and I wanted to take a minute to go over this important program with you here.

Wealthy Affiliate is the program that I found in my online search that finally propelled my business to success. Before I found the Wealthy Affiliate program, I was trying various other programs with no success at all. I’ve written several articles about the program because my focus on this website is to bring information to you to help you start and grow your online business.

I want to direct you now to an article I recently wrote about the program, and I really go into the benefits this program provides here:

WEALTHY AFFILIATE – LIST OF PROGRAM BENEFITS

If you want to see how the program works, you can read this overview here:

Free Starter Membership

Here’s what I really like about Wealthy Affiliate ~ You can actually sign up for their Starter Membership 100% for free. They don’t even ask for a credit or debit card!

The Starter Membership gives you quite a bit, and you never have to upgrade to Premium if you don’t want to, but I honestly do recommend that you upgrade for the $49 monthly if you’re serious about making money online. As outlined above in my article, the benefits are many with the Premium plan, and you’re going to want those benefits to really grow your business.

You can set up your free Starter plan, your websites and do the starter training, and then, when you see the value, you can upgrade whenever you want. Here’s a chart that shows the two plans:

Mentorship

Are you feeling nervous about trying yet another program? Don’t be! I had the same trepidation, but what got me to sign up was the free Starter membership. I thought what did I have to lose? I’d heard so many positive reviews of the Wealthy Affiliate program that I really wanted to try it.

I was lucky because I signed up under someone who offered me mentoring when I signed up. It really made a huge difference. Now I’m offering that help to you! Once you sign up inside Wealthy Affiliate, you’ll get an email from me. My Username inside is BabsieRocks.

  1. Hi Babs.

This is such great information. I have been working on my site for a while, but due to a pretty hefty schedule it’s slow goings… 😉 That’s alright for now, because I know I’ll soon be able to spend more time creating my content. But there is NO doubt that all the tips and tricks that can save me some time is much welcomed and needed. So this article comes in super handy. Actually your whole site seems to be pretty full af all the gold nuggets a reasonable new internet marketer such as myself, needs… So once again, thank you! Your site is bookmarked, and I’ll be back!

    Best wishes,
    Michael

  2. I have a website that I have been posting to social media each time I publish a post. It does take quite a bit of time to go to each platform and put a post up. I have seen many people talk about the Tailwind for Pinterest post. I will look at your post about this program and see if it will work for me.
Do you have a tool that you use for hashtags on your social media post.
    John

    1. Well, I go to LinkedIn first, and they recommend the hashtags based on the post, so I copy those and use them on the other social media platforms, adding in whatever else I think would work. ~ Babs

  3. Some great tips here which I will look into as I’m at a stage now with my online business where I need to set some automation in place.
I recently downloaded an app on my iPhone for Instagram called Followmeter, which keeps track of new followers and unfollowers. This has been very useful. Now I just need to automate the posts!

  4. Sociable will definitely cut down the time needed for me to post my blog posts to my pages. In fact, there are times that I’m so busy I neglect this key component to my online businesses and I know everytime I do this, I lose opportunity for more traffic and income. I’m going to install this plug-in on both sites and even my third one as well, where the framework is still being built out.

  5. Babsie, you do rock. I am still managing my website and social media manually. However, I’m expanding and could use the extra time. Thank you for sharing your expertise. I’ve bookmarked this page for future reference and further study.
