How to Make Your Own Ebook! Super Fast & Easy!

We all know that people like things for free, right? What better way to capture someone’s attention on your website than to offer them a free Ebook? You can provide your readers with amazing information in a beautiful format in the form of an ebook. How to make your own ebook? I have the easiest way on the planet for you to do that. Prepare to be amazed!

I know, myself, that I will gladly put in my name and email address to a website to get an ebook that provides me with value. If someone is offering me free information that I want, I will sign right up.

You want to build an email list for yourself, give away a beautiful ebook.

In this lesson, I’m going to teach you exactly how to create a gorgeous ebook that you can give away to your readers! I’m all about providing value to you, so here we go! Make sure you subscribe over on the sidebar, too, because in the next lesson I’m going to show you how to make a really nice book cover picture like this one, so you don’t want to miss it:

The best ebook creation software - for the best price!

Alright, so let’s get into the process, because I have a lot to cover with you here today. Make sure you bookmark this page so you can refer back to it when you go to create your own ebook.

A little about my journey here, I belong to an affiliate marketing business platform called Wealthy Affiliate, and in the Wealthy Affiliate University, I learned that email marketing should be incorporated into my business. In order to build an email list, it was suggested that I use a free giveaway like an ebook.

I started researching ebook creation software, but I was finding it was a bit cost prohibitive, and also that I would have to pay for the software and also for them to host the ebook on their servers, which meant a monthly charge. I just didn’t want to do that.

Then I discovered a program called Designrr. Designrr developed an ebook creation software program that you buy one-time for only $27, and they host your ebooks for free. That’s right, it’s a one-time fee of $27. That’s it!

THIS IS A SPECIAL OFFER YOU CAN ONLY GET THROUGH MY AFFILIATE LINK BELOW.  Please note that the Designrr team does pay me a commission for each sale, but this is at no cost to you.  Remember, this deal is not available if you google Designrr, it is only available right here.

Let me show you their regular prices:

What is Designrr's regular cost?

Designrr offers a monthly charge for their ebook creator.  The pricing is great, don’t get me wrong, and after you use the program, you would think so too!

However, I have a special offer that you can only get through my special link below, where you do NOT have to pay any monthly fees!  That’s right, this does not apply.  If you Google Designrr, you’ll see their pricing as follows:

If you have any interest whatsoever of making ebooks in the future, you really need to grab this special offer because it is going to give you lifetime access to this program for only $27 one-time.  Take a look:

How does Designrr work?

Here is where it gets fun! I’m going to show you how easy it is to make absolutely stunning ebooks with Designrr!

If you are a blogger, you’ve most likely been creating content on your website. What if I told you that you can take any of the content on your website, with pictures and links and everything, and turn it into beautiful ebooks? That’s right! You can use any URL and it will transfer the data from that url over to the ebook!

What if I told you that you can combine URLs and use multiple URLs to create the ebooks? Then you can edit the content, add to it, take things out of it, with the click of a few editing buttons! Wow! Are you grasping this concept?

You do not have to start from scratch (although you certainly can with this tool as well) to create amazing, informative, beautiful ebooks. I’ve already made several just by importing my blog posts, tweaking a few things, and then creating my books.

In fact, I’m going to make an ebook from this post and then at the bottom of this post, you’ll get to see (and download if you want) the ebook I’ve created from this very post! Pretty cool, right?

Creating an ebook from a url

Let’s choose a url from my website here, and I’ll go over the process with screen captures so I can illustrate it for you easily.  So I’m going to choose this article:   STARTING ONLINE BUSINESS CHECKLIST!  FREE RESOURCES!

So I’m going to open up the Designrr tool, and choose Import URL for this project:

I go to the post of my choice, and I copy the URL address of the post:

Now I paste that URL into the Designrr tool, and I click on the Import button:

Next I’m going to choose my template.  You have a huge selection, so I’m going to choose a business template with one column to match my website format:

Edit your Ebook

Now I can scroll through the Ebook and edit it.  The page breaks may need adjusting, you may have to change some of the words (remember, your post is on a website and this is now an Ebook, so some of the verbiage may need to be changed).

You may want to add more links or remove links, etc.  You can make whatever changes you need to make.  So the first thing I’m going to do is add myself as the Author:

I just click in the area I want to change.  It clicks open the options, and I click on the little pencil to edit the text:

Then I just change the “ebook author” text to “Babs Wagner.”

The book will have automatic page breaks placed, but you may want to change those so the books flows better.  In this example, I want to move the first item of the checklist down to the next page.  It’s super easy to move, you just click inside what you want to move and the click the down (or up) arrow to move it wherever you want it to be:

This moves it down to the next page (as you can see, it’s not on this page any longer):

You continue up and click on the next part (I want the whole thing 1. Choose your Niche down on the next page):

You may want to adjust the picture on the page above to fill the page better, so I’m going to back up to that page and take a look at it:

Therefore, I move the text down above which moves the whole page to a more centered look.  Also, I’m talking about the “right sidebar” which pertains to my website, so I’m going to adjust that wording as well because an Ebook doesn’t have a right sidebar:

I adjusted the text to direct them, instead, to my website, with a link to the website:

Next, let’s see how the next page looks and if I need to make any adjustments there.  It appears to look exactly how I want it to, with the No. 1 item, and the link to the article that relates to it.  Perfect:

Edit the entire book

You follow through page by page editing your book, removing what doesn’t fit, adding what you want.  One thing I want to show you is that you are never left on your own.

This $27 includes live assistance, and it also includes a lot of training video tutorials.  There is a whole library of training:

There is the live chat function, and believe me, they are so helpful if you have any questions:

  1. Now here’s something I can use. I think I’ve heard of Designrr, but didn’t really know how it worked. I have 3 different e-books out there that are partially done, but that I never seem to get back to. It might make more sense to start new websites for them, probably one at a time, and just start blogs over those niches that I can put together as books later on. It may actually be the only way they ever get done, lol. This is really cool. Thanks for sharing!

  2. A very informative read.  I have bookmarked your page so if I create an ebook in the future,  I can come back here and follow your steps to do so. I appreciate you sharing this deal and adding  step-by step instructions with it.  I hope to get an ebook soon. I had never realized how simple it could be to transfer a URL to that format.

    Thank you!

    1. You may not have access to the same deal later on, so I’m suggesting you go ahead and grab it now while the offer is available.  ~ Babs

  3. Hi Babs

I must say that this has come to me at the most favourable time. You know the saying that something’s things fall into your lap when you really need it.

The price is excellent and I am wondering how did you manage to get the programme at such a low price. It seems too good to be true. It seems to be easy to use as it converts what you already done to an ebook, which most people do not know what to do. You explain how to do it very well, but how do you link it to your website? Is it a link or a pop-up that you sign for

How long is the offer on for, as I may be interesting in buy it, as it will only cost me around £20?

    Thank you

    Antonio

    1. I came across this offer on an affiliate site and I jumped on it.  Then I asked if I could become their affiliate, and they approved me.  I have no idea how long they will run this special at all, so if you are interested, I would not delay or you’ll end up having to pay the regular price of $29 monthly.  This is $27 one time for lifetime access and hosting.  It’s absolutely amazing, and I can tell you it’s not too good to be true because as you can see I’m creating beautiful Ebooks with it.  ~ Babs

  4. Designrr sounds good, and it’s sold at a great price. It’s packed with a lot of features too. I’ve used an ebook creator in the past, like around 10 years ago; I think it was more expensive, but didn’t have all those features. I might actually give Designrr a try.

    1. Grab it now, Nate, while the getting’s good.  I’m not sure how long they will offer this special for me.  ~ Babs

  5. This is exactly what everyone including me needs to have a tool that can create an ebook. This can be utilized for growing your email list. I love it! I am definitely BOOKMARKING this page because I know for I will get this later on. Thank you for sharing this article.

    1. Andy, I wouldn’t wait too long.  I don’t know how long this company is going to be giving this away for $27 for lifetime access.  If you google Designrr, you can’t find this offer, only the $29/month offer.  ~ Babs

  6. I really like how you walked us through how to make your own ebook and do it fast and easily. I am all about automation, and the tool you used to create your example ebook shows me that Designrr can work for this. I do not know how long it took for each step, but the end product looks great.

Actually, I had heard about this, but since I have a tool already, decided to not even look at it. I should have because it has some features that I do not have with the one I am using. The price is also really great, much less than what I paid for the tool I have.

Is the price including all the features needed, or are there upsells to get access to some of the features that you are using? I have seen often where the front end offers do work, but they are limited in ways that only the upsells will fix. That has happened to me in the past. I like this tool, and you know how to use it for sure! Designrr is a good find, thanks for sharing.

    1. No, the $27 includes everything I show here.  They have not tried to upsell me on anything so far, and I’ve had it for a while.  ~ Babs

  7. Dear Babs,

To be honest recently I learned how offering a valuable freebie can build our email list, as we all know money is in the list. So I started creating my eBook, after two months of hard work I finished my eBook last week. How I wish I had found your article sooner when I first started! I had to go through the old way of trial and errors.

Designrr sounds very interesting and the walk-through you provided is amazing. The step by step explanation with images you provided is super helpful.

Also the special offer just $27 is awesome and life time access is just like icing on the cake for sure this on my list and when compared to their regular price what you are offering via your referral link is great offer. My only concern is, I regret for not knowing about Designrr couple of months before. If I was aware of Designrr it would have saved me a lot of time and effort.

You left no stone up-turned in explaining how it all works and there is no doubt this post is going to be a greater for many who are willing to create eBook.

    Much Success!

    Paul

    1. You’re going to continually need to update your Ebooks, use different Ebooks for various aspects of your business, so my suggestion would be to grab this $27 deal while it’s available.  They are not going to offer this for long.  ~ Babs

  8. Hi Babs

Thank you for sharing what can i say it’s fantastic i love the way take the training through and guide the clients it  is a great idea and i have thought many times about writing a book i have even started it but got to the halfway mark and stopped.

The ebook is a fab idea and added with the training is amazing thank you so much for sharing this with me.

    1. You’ve got it, Tracey!  You don’t have to “stop” halfway through because with a click of a button, the entire Ebook is ready to roll.  All you do is edit it and you’re done.  It’s created for you.  Pretty cool!  ~ Babs

  9. This seems like a great tool for anyone building an online business. What a great way to interact with people and build up your network. How long have you been writing ebooks and have you seen an increase in traffic since you started? I’m still in the beginning stages of my online business and am curious on how beneficial it would be for me to incorporate this into my business plan.

    1. What it has done is to help me start building my email marketing list. People are curious or want the information, and when they click for the free ebook it captures their email address for me to send things to in the future.  It’s a great and necessary tool.  ~ Babs

  10. I like free stuff as well. I am that person that I will put my email down to get something for free and unsubscribe from the list later. That’s is an amazing deal on Designrr. Disignrr is genius, I do not have to spend time writing the ebook, I love that I can use my url and make the ebooks. The live chat function is great as well. Thanks for the walkthrough and the deal.

  11. Very helpful article. That put me into thought about creating an ebook too! (Well i think it’s too early for me at this stage but in the future why not!).

I wonder if these ebook creating tools allow you to embed videos into your ebook. Or is it bad to have a video embed in your ebook?

Also i didn’t know there were deals that were going from a monthly subscription to a one time payment.

I liked the article read all of it. Good job

    1. Most of the Ebook creators want a monthly fee, and Designrr is no different.  They want $29 monthly, but with this special offer, you can pay $27 one time and get lifetime access to the creation software.  It’s pretty amazing.  As for the videos, good question.  I don’t think so because it is a pdf file.  I will try and let you know.  ~ Babs

  12. This is truly amazing. I have always tried looking for a method to create ebooks but I have not been able to find one until now. The reason I feel I was probably not able to find one is that I was searching for free methods. The pricing offered on this post is extremely cheap and the fact that it is a one-time payment makes it even more amazing and the process involved in creating the ebook looks really simple. I cannot wait to personally try this out myself.

I look forward to your next post to see how to create an ebook cover. The one that was displayed on this post is truly nice and I would love to create one just as nice as that.

    1. I hope you subscribed to the website, because then you will get notification when I make this post.  ~ Babs

  13. Hi Babs!

    Love your website.

I especially like how you explained the entire process(in great detail) of creating an e-book. I was actually wondering how I would go about creating a mailing list. I’ve written eight books and in every case, I paid someone to create the e-book version for me. There are a lot of things I have trouble figuring out on computers.

I can see that you have been at this for quite some time. It gives me hope for the future.

I might eventually take you up on your offer once I get my website design done. Not quite ready to monetize yet.

Best of luck with your project.

  14. This is great info for starting an ebook. I was thinking about this the other day and thought I would have to write a whole book from scratch. Now I know I can take all of the content I’ve created and slip it right in, that’s amazing, and so us your price. Other places I’ve researched are asking for more but they don’t offer such a great tutorial. Thanks for sharing, I will look in to Designrr.

    1. Oh, for sure, other programs are hundreds of dollars, and not just one time. With this particular special, you get full lifetime access, hosting and all for only a one-time fee of $27. You just can’t beat that anywhere. It’s super easy. ~ Babs

  15. Great post and it is interesting. Because when I look at the price, it isn’t so expensive as other ones! And I see it offers a lot, and I will consider buying a lifetime membership, since I always wanted to make an ebook, don’t ask me why, but I will feel very proud when I made it!

Thanks a lot for sharing it with us!

    1. The reason you need to make an ebook is to offer it free to capture email addresses.  Then you market to the list for sales.  Ebooks are the way to get people to sign up and give out their information to you.  ~ Babs

  16. Hi Babs! I know how important it’s to use email marketing. And I have been searching for something that my audience would find interesting to give away in order to build my email list. Yes, an eBook had come to mind, but as you, I had felt a bit disappointed when I discovered the monthly fees.

But reading about Designrr has made me dream again about an eBook. One time payment is what I had been looking for. Thank you very much!

    1. Designrr does charge monthly unless you buy through this special offer for a one-time lifetime offer.  If you go to their website through Google, you will pay every month.  Grab while the grabbing is available!  ~ Babs

  17. Hi Babs, I saw an ad about this recently but just passed over it because I didn’t want to buy anything right now. I think I am going to sign up here because this walkthrough really explains how easy it is to publish and e-book. I have written short books but have not taken them any further and this is my incentive to go forward. Thank you !

    1. Oh, JJ, you are very welcome!  Good luck, and please let me know if you have any questions along the way!  ~ Babs

  18. I have had some people tell me that I should start making ebooks and it has just been a thought, but I wasn’t sure it was feasible for me.  But Designrr looks like a great choice and the price is certainly right.  I don’t think I have much to lose with it.  I can give it a shot and just see how it pans out for me 🙂  If people are interested or not I guess.  How nice to take the post content and make an ebook out of it!  I am curious though, then do I offer this as an incentive, or sell?  I am not quite sure once I make the ebook how I utilize it.

    1. Start with a simple one that you give away to start building your email list.  In other words, they put in their email, and you send them the link to the ebook.  Now you can market to that person in the future with your products and services.  You can create a “program” as you go through your training, and place multiple url’s into a larger ebook, and then you can sell that ebook on Clickbank.  ~ Babs

  19. Great insight Babs! Can’t wait to read your book. As an author this is valuable information. Love the reference to a low-cost program, Designrr. Wealthy Affiliate also is a great community so kudos for the reference on that. Like how you offered price comparisons for your readers, excellent! Keep up the good work 🙂

  20. Hi Babs!

I’m really glad to read your valuable informative article. I’ve read your article very well. I really appreciate your article. You have explained many beautiful ways. I understand very well. I have bookmarked this article. I’ll make a book. I would like to know how much money can we earn annually by selling ebooks?

Thank you so much for sharing your valuable experience.

    1. The Clickbank University teaches you how to create and publish your ebooks, but I have not done that.  I use mine as a free-giveaway!  I know people do make money selling ebooks.  It costs nothing to make them, so it’s all profit.  ~ Babs

  21. Hello Babs,
This is awesome!  I usually just create a PDF by using the print to PDF option on my computer but it’s limited and doesn’t give me a lot of editing options.

The features offered are pretty sweet.  I like the option to build a book from a URL and the built-in editing suite is pretty nice too.

The only thing I’m not sure of, and I see someone else has already asked about it, is embedding video into your ebook.  I’m sure you know, video is quite popular these days and I’m trying to make sure my content reaches the most people it can.

    Thanks for this great information,
         Scott

    1. It does have an imbed feature, and what it does is imbed a screenshot of the video, and when you click on the arrow it takes you to Youtube or wherever the video is hosted, opening in a new tab.  So you don’t watch the video from the ebook, but it does place a screenshot of the video into the book.  ~ Babs

  22. I am a blogger and one of my needs is a free report or ebook I can give away for free in exchange for my audience’ email address. Although most bloggers today now prefer to give away videos, my personal preference is still giving away ebooks. I’ve been looking for a way or maybe a tool that can help me create one, and I think I now have found what I’m looking for. Thanks for this article and for sharing this amazing tool, I will start now experimenting on Designrr.

  23. Discussion: Reading this article was perfect timing. I am going to be writing an E-Book for my Website. This program-Designrr is an amazing resource! I especially like how you can pull in the URL’s from your website. I have been overwhelmed by the process of creating an E-book, but this program will make it so much easier. What are your
suggestions for creating an E-Book to sell vs. using as a way for people to sign up?

    1. You can create as many ebooks as you like.  Use a few to give away and then put together a really good one to sell.  Provide new and unique information into the one to sell.  You get to make unlimited books.  ~ Babs

  24. Im so glad I ran across this post. I will definitely be saving this link. Im new to the affiliate game and am going through the training now. I have not gotten to the part yet about email marketing but I love the suggestion of offering a free ebook to attract subscribers. Now I just need an idea haha. Thanks for the post!

    1. You don’t need to create the ebook.  You simply take the blog posts you’ve already created and with a few clicks turn them into ebooks.  That’s the beauty of this program.  You don’t have to create anything, just turn what you’ve already created into an ebook.  It’s awesome!  ~ Babs

  25. Wow awesome, I have come across your article at a great time as writing an E-Book is on the horizon for me. I have booked marked this page as it will be my first reference in learning about this.

Thank you for such a detailed review of this program, I have never heard of it before but it has definitely piqued my interest! Especially since I really wouldn’t know what to do with the book once I’ve wrote it but even so it looks like this program will give me a complete run down which I love. The more information the better in my opinion!

    Thank you again!

    1. You want to create ebooks to give away to get people to sign up (and thus capture their email address to market to).  It’s extremely important in online marketing!  ~ Babs

  26. Omg! I am so happy I found your post! I have been wanting to write an ebook for years! I just didn’t know what to write about. And now I am finally a blogger, and I still think about writing a book. But I haven’t because blogging takes all my time. I have no time to write a book! I even thought about going to fiverr to get someone to write a book for me. But this actually helps, you have made my day! Now I can get that book started. Thank you!

    1. That’s so good to hear, Buffy!  You’re going to love Designrr!  It’s so easy to use – I’ve created over 10 books just from my posts!  ~ Babs

  27. Excellent article you have written up here Babs, and it is in line with what I need right now since I want to publish some of my own write ups into ebooks. I believe that this can also be helpful in creating and growing email list. To be honest, I love the information I got through this post and definitely I will be needing it for future uses so I will have to bookmark it. Great post and thanks for sharing.

    1. That’s great!  You are going to love it, I assure you!  It will definitely help you grow your email list!  ~ Babs

  28. Hi, your post is very helpful for my business as I just learn something new that to able to build my business there should be free things like eBook I think this idea of designrr is a good idea, reading your post make it simple.to follow step by step, and I really appreciate the opportunity of one time payment.of 27$, I have been thinking about how to improve my business and your post have save me. I will be making my one time.payment so that I can have access to this great feature.

    1. I’m so glad to hear.  I highly recommend it, whether you are new or seasoned.  It’s just the best platform for Ebook creation that I have found!  ~ Babs

  29. Hey Babs, I’m definitely going in for Designrr. I heard about it some time ago from several bloggers I follow, but I thought it was just another useless program. Now that I paid a bit of attention and followed your description and research into it, I realized I was totally wrong about it. I don’t have an ebook on my website so I’m quite new when it comes to this, so this tool seems really helpful for people like me. And I’m not talking about its possibility to host my ebook or transform any URL into one, but rather about those resources available and the possibility to have your question answered pretty fast. I really have to sign up for it in the next days!

    1. Great to hear, Dan!  I have to say that you are making a wise decision, even if you don’t use it right away, you will have total access to the program for the rest of your life for a one-time fee of only $27.  Good luck, and please be sure to let me know if you have any questions when you get into the program.  They have a lot of tutorials as well!  ~ Babs

  30. Wow that is definitely a great deal considering is usually $324 a year and now it is only $27 for a lifetime. I already have a lot going on because I am doing wealthy affiliate so I guess I don’t need it right now. But I will keep this page in mind and come back here if I want to sign up.

That is really cool that you can actually input stuff from your website and then compile it into an e-book. When I was making the outline for my website I realized that it was going to be kind of like a book only laid out differently and I guess a little bit different of a way of interacting with it.

I usually don’t download people’s ebooks right away even if they are free because I already have so much going on and I don’t want to take on more projects. I know that I would probably end up downloading the book and then never getting a chance to really read it. But I am sure it is great information. I am just always so swamped.

It’s the same thing with mailing lists. I always get offered to join a lot of great mailing lists but I learned in my early twenties not to sign up for too many because I ended up with like a hundred emails in my inbox everyday and I can never keep up with them all. So for me to sign up for someone’s email list I would have to know them really really well and like seriously have a major reason for wanting to sign up for their email list. So it’s nothing personal it’s just like I said I am always already swamped.

On the other hand I will probably visit your website again in the future so I can say that much. You made the article very nice and all those screenshots were very thoughtful of you to include. Also it is a good reminder for me how doable it might be for me to create my own book which I definitely want to do one day.

    Thanks again and take care!

    1. It is a very busy business, isn’t it?  I know how you feel.  I have so much going on, and I agree, I don’t always get to read everything, but here’s what I did.  I set up a daily schedule, and inside that schedule, I always put in time for “research and education.”  This includes looking at new programs to review and also educational material.  I make that time daily as part of my tasks.

As for the emails, I have a suggestion.  Set up a totally separate gmail account just for signing up for information.  That way, it won’t clog up your personal email address with a lot of stuff.   ~ Babs

  31. Hi, I was actually planning to write an ebook that I would offer for free on my website, in exchange for an email address. But since it’s the first time I’m doing this, I didn’t really know how. I heard some people would offer it as a PDF but that would involve adding an extra plugin on my website, which I was trying to avoid (due to slow loading speed). Now that I came across Designrr, I think it’s the best choice for my ebook. I like that it’s super affordable and it doesn’t require installing any plugin (as far as I know). Also it seems to be very beginner-friendly, which is something essential for me, since this is my first ebook ever. Thanks for the offer, I will surely be joining in!

    1. Oh no, there is no plugin required at all.  It’s a totally separate program that you log into.  That’s it.  They host the book on their servers and you just pass out the URL to people who buy or want it.  They can download it to their computer if they want.  It’s amazing, honestly, and great for beginners!  ~ Babs

  32. Wow, never thought of there is such a useful tool to create ebook. This is really a good tool for writers, people who like to write and selling ebooks online especially Amazon.
