I am going to teach you step-by-step how to get your online business up and running absolutely free. This is a legitimate program that does not require a credit or debit card to get going, so read on to learn exactly how to: Start business online!
I take you through the steps in a detailed fashion, so you will not be lost or anxious in the process. You will have a world-class, renowned university with video tutorials, and you will have me, your personal coach, to assist you in your new venture. We were all new at one point, and my goal is to make it as easy for you as possible and give you all the information I wish I had had when I began this venture years ago.
So let’s get into it. I will be referencing other articles throughout this post that I recommend you read. This process takes time, but with the proper instruction, you can get your website up and running today! That’s right, today!
What are your goals
This is a very important question, because it will help you determine just how much time you are going to be spending on your business daily. You need to know this, and you need to schedule time daily for the many tasks associated with starting and maintaining an online business.
If you goals are you need to have extra income coming in within the next year because you are retiring, you will want to take this very seriously and devote larger blocks of time to the building of your site. If your goals are just to have some fun with this and maybe make a little money, you can schedule less time.
So figure out why you are doing this and what you really want to accomplish.
Schedule your time
It is important that you schedule your time for your business. Do you work full-time? Are you in school? Whatever your lifestyle, you probably have a schedule for it, and this is no different.
For me, when I first started my online business, I was working a full-time job. I knew what my hours of work were daily, and I scheduled, hard and fast in my calendar, the times I would work on my websites.
I treated this business just like a business from day one, and you should too. I would not deviate from my schedule just because a friend called up and wanted to get together. I would plan to see my friend when I wasn’t scheduled to work on my business, plain and simple.
Take it seriously from the start, be consistent and patient, and you will reap the rewards this business can bring.
Find a reputable training program
The fact that you are on this website is your first step toward training. I provide a lot of great information on how to run your business, but I do direct you to my #1 choice for an Affiliate Marketing University. I am a teacher, and I am a coach, but I also know that you can get world-class training at an online university which will walk you step-by-step through the entire process.
The Wealthy Affiliate University is a must-have for anyone who wants to set up an affiliate marketing website and blog for money. I have tried so many programs over the years, and once I found the Wealthy Affiliate program, I’ve never looked further. It far surpasses the rest, and I am saving you a lot of time, a lot of aggravation and a ton of money by telling you this. This platform is 100% free to sign up for with their Starter level, so grab it now while it’s available for free. Get started with the free training now, simply click here:
Here are a few testimonials about this program that I’d like you to read. These are actual posts by members on the site, not paid actors like many of the sites use, and I snagged these directly from inside the Wealthy Affiliate platform. These are real people, some of whom I know, who have written posts inside the platform:
Choose a niche
Your niche is the subject of your website. You need to really think about this long and hard before you set up your first website. What do you want to write your blog about? What problem do you want to solve for your readers? People are searching for everything online, so the sky is the limit. (You do, however, want a niche that you can sell related products on that will solve a problem for your readers.)
Here is an article I wrote all about how to choose your perfect niche:
Develop your website
With the training on the Wealthy Affiliate platform, you will receive two free websites with the Starter membership. I recommend you just set up one of the websites and focus on that solely for now. You don’t want to overload your plate, right? This is a new venture, so focus on learning the process. There will be time and opportunity to set up another website down the road.
You will be given an option of themes. Keep it simple. You don’t need to worry as much about the theme. You can always change your theme down the road as well, and all your content will be transferred.
You will be taught in Wealthy Affiliate University how to write content for your blog. Each blog post should be at least 1,000 characters long with at least five headings. You will want to keep your paragraphs short. (Don’t worry, you’ll learn exactly how to do it through the training!) Your content is king, and you want to remember one thing:
This is where all your success will come from. You need to think of a problem your readers have within your niche and then offer the solution in your post. When people get onto the internet and start searching, they are looking for information that will help them. Maybe they have dry skin or are overweight. Maybe they want to set up an ice fishing hut but don’t know how to do it. Perhaps they want to invest in stocks but need guidance.
The people searching want an article that is going to tell them how to have more supple skin, how to lose weight, what type of equipment they need for ice fishing or a book on investing. Do you see how this works? It really is that simple.
Your content needs to be their answer, and the product you are recommending needs to be the solution. (See next paragraph regarding marketing products).
If you are not offering something they need, they are going to move on to another site that does, and that would not be good for you. Make your site their final destination!
Here is an example of an article that solves a problem. If someone searches for help because they are extremely low on energy and want to figure out what to do about it, this article gives them a myriad of information and various solutions they can try to help them get more energy:
Create affiliate agreements with merchants
Your first 10 articles should not contain any affiliate links (links to products) because you want to establish your niche website so you can present it to the merchants for review. Start thinking about what types of products you want to promote, and then write articles around those ideas.
You will have to give the merchant a link to your website, and most of them will want to review the site before they approve the agreement, so take your time on these articles and do a great job of following the rules and attaching nice pictures within the article.
You can get free images on several websites. Make sure you only use the free pictures and not the sponsored ones. You’ll see on this website, www.pixabay.com, that I’ve entered the search term “camera.” You’ll see the top results show the sponsored photos. You must pay a fee to use these photos. The free pictures are shown below. This is critical. You don’t want to get sued for using a photograph that you didn’t have the rights to use. You can certainly buy pictures if you want, but it’s not really necessary to start out.
Here is an example of my search for “camera” on pixabay:
Other sites that also offer free (and sponsored) images are:
Once you have your first ten beautiful articles (blog posts), you can establish your affiliate agreements and begin to promote products. What you’ll do is write a new post with your new affiliate link (once the merchant approves you, they will provide a distinct affiliate link or links for you to market the products), and then you can link your existing articles to the new post that contains that link.
You never want to load up your website with affiliate links. You always want to link articles to other articles that contain links instead of putting affiliate links on all your articles. Google will look at your site like a spam site if you’re not careful.
Drive traffic to your site
You probably already have social media sites set up, so definitely start a business page on Facebook (free) for your website and start posting every article you write. I’ve written a detailed article about driving traffic to your site, and you can read it here:
I welcome all comments and questions. Please take a moment to subscribe to this website over on the right sidebar. That way, you’ll receive an email whenever a new blog post is made, so you don’t miss any information on this exciting business opportunity.
