OK, so now I am getting into the meat of the Clickbank University course. Anyone new to affiliate marketing (or new to the Clickbank affiliate program) will truly appreciate this week’s courses. You are going to learn how to choose your niche. What is your niche? I explain it below. You’re going to learn how to be sure that the niche you choose is something you are passionate about. Why, you ask? I explain below as well.
Next, you are going to learn how to navigate the Clickbank Platform. This is extremely valuable if making money is a priority for you because the instructors show you how to find the hot products, the ones that are selling fast, the ones that people want and how to market them to get people to want to buy!
Let’s get into it!
Finding your Niche
This website here at Coaching for Internet Marketers is full of great information on finding your perfect niche. Keep in mind that your perfect niche is not the same as your best friend’s perfect niche or your spouse’s perfect niche (in most cases).
That’s because you need to find a niche that represents your passion. What exactly is a niche? Your niche is going to be the subject of your website. This is the topic that you are going to write content about, you are going to research, and you are going to dive deep into. Do you see why it needs to be something you are passionate about?
Here is an article I wrote about finding your perfect niche. You can take a moment now to read it:
In this training, Justin Atlan goes over how you can really narrow it down to find your absolutely perfect, unique, niche and gives you tools and resources to do it. He’s very passionate in sharing with his students; I like his style.
He also helps you discover if your niche is profitable by diving into the Clickbank affiliate product platform to analyze the products there using specific matrix he outlines in the course.
The two things you need when choosing your niche and products is passion for your niche and products that sell!
Clickbank sells unique types of products. Their products are digital products (programs and ebooks), not lamps and shoes (physical products).
Therefore, you want to become a Clickbank affiliate when you sign up for this course so you can learn directly on the platform as Justin takes you through it.
I stopped during the training and went over to my Clickbank Affiliate account to follow along with him in real time.
The Clickbank Platform
Navigating the platform is pretty easy, and they give you tools to sort your information according to your preference. You can click on the Marketplace at the top of the page, or you can type in the search bar for a specific product if you want to see if they carry it:
Inside the Marketplace
Once inside the Marketplace, all the categories are listed on the left. You have two choices when it comes to opening the category of interest. First, you can click on the little arrow in front of the category:
This will drop down a list of more sub-categories to narrow your search even further. This is such a time-saver, eliminating the need to have to go through all the various categories by hand.
Next, you will choose the product you like. I have already purchased Affiliate Bot 2.0 for myself, and I plan to use and report back on this product in a future article, so it would be appropriate for me to get the affiliate link to put into my review articles. Therefore, I choose the “Promote” button for this product.
Once I click the “Promote” button, I’m taken to a page where I can generate my affiliate link to use in my marketing. You can use your affiliate link on your website, on a Facebook post, a Twitter post, or an email. Promote, promote, promote!
Anytime someone clicks your link and buys your product, you get paid a commission for the sale!
Let’s say, however, that you want to see exactly what a product is about to see if it is something you want to market. That’s easy. You simply click on the red hyperlinked name of the product, and you will be take to the product’s sales page:
As you can see here, this will bring you to the product information page for Affiliate Bot 2.0, so you can scroll down, watch the videos, and learn about (or purchase yourself) the product! This is a great way to become familiar with the product, but you can also snag ad copy to put into your blog posts when you are promoting the product:
This Clickbank University training module goes into great detail on product and niche analysis. I think this is extremely valuable. In the training, Justin leaves the platform to venture to Facebook and Twitter to search product and niche interest there. Justin is full of great techniques he shares in this lesson! Amazing!
I wrote a great article on social engagement that you might want to check out. Justin gets into the social engagement aspect of marketing in this module as well, using search inside the platforms. This can be a time-consuming process, but it really is necessary that you put in the time to do the research when you are choosing your products. He leaves no stone unturned!
You don’t want to spend a lot of time marketing a product just to find out that it is not a top-selling product and nobody is really searching for it or interested in it. Spend the time up-front on your products, and then use all the strategies you’ll learn to market the products you choose.
Justin trains on a program called the Google Keyword Planner. However, when I tried to follow over with him to the planner, Google first made me sign in, which was no problem, but then it appears Google wanted me to set up an ad campaign before I could get access to the planner.
Google changes things quite fast, so it just may be that they have changed the parameters for accessing their Keyword Planner.
I have a better alternative, and after seeing the training on the Google Keyword Planner, I believe a far superior product that analyzes keywords. I’m talking about the Jaaxy Keyword Research tool.
What are keywords? These are the search terms people type into the search engines to find products, services and solutions. This is how you get them to your website is by “ranking” in the search engines for a particular keyword phrase. I am a member of the Wealthy Affiliate Premium Platform, and as such, I have unlimited searches with their Keyword Research tool, Jaaxy.
I would like to recommend you take a moment now to read about the Jaaxy Keyword tool. It is absolutely critical to your success in marketing your products that you know the best Keyword phrases to incorporate into your blog posts. Take a read here:
After you read this article, you can actually give the keyword research a real test drive right here! Do some research:
Your unique take
The next part of this training goes into the competition and analyzing the competition. This is critical to your success for sure! Remember, other successful marketers have tried and tested the product marketing and found a formula that works. Therefore, take a look at the other product reviews online and see how the other marketers are presenting the product you want to market.
You never want to copy another marketer, and I’ll tell you why. First, it isn’t ethical in any way, shape or form. People work hard to create their content, and you have no right to copy it. Secondly, the search engines will penalize you for copied content.
One of the fantastic, useful benefits of being enrolled in the Wealthy Affiliate program is that whenever you write copy for your website, the program checks it for uniqueness. It runs a scan through the internet to be sure that your content is not a duplicate anywhere else. If the search engines read your content as copied, you will never rank. They will put your content to the bottom of the list and nobody will ever see it.
When reviewing other people’s sites, you can, however, see the style of their marketing, the presentation of the products, and you can get some great insight into what is working. Scroll down through the searches to the less successful results, and you can see what isn’t working as well.
Clickbank University gives you a lot of strategies to analyze and write about your products. You’ll learn how to rate each product, see how many affiliates are making money from the products, how much of each product is selling, as well as other sortable matrix to help you find the most profitable products within your niche.
Here is where I’m seeing some more real value in the Clickbank University training. Justin has some great insight into marketing, buyer mindset and problem solving when it comes to converting your readers to buyers. If you want to be successful, you need to surround yourself with successful people, and people you can learn from. You’re going to learn so much from these guys, and I’ve only just begun the training.
Be sure to subscribe to this website over on the sidebar so you will get notifications of all new posts. I’m going to continue through the training and report back to you about it as I go.
